Star of the Week!

Sweet Isaac was the Star of the Week! The first week in November he was chosen as the Star of the Week! We got to fill out, color and decorate a poster that was all about him! He got a special button to wear all week long and he was so excited!

I am such a proud mama! What a fabulous young man! It was fun to have him be the star of the week!

Bat Jesus and BlueBerry

My sweet young man wanted to be Bat Jesus for Halloween.  He and I made it, I love it! He was so excited, he even wore Bat Jesus to school.

Caitlyn was a Blueberry which was just perfect. Isaac has called her blueberry since he saw her for the first time, at the doctor's office in my tummy. Her name is Caitlyn Starla Blueberry Vigil, so she had to be a blueberry for Halloween. And she was the cutest blueberry ever!

We went trick or treating around the neighborhood which was really fun. And then Isaac and Caitlyn answered the door and handed out the candy. It was sweet!

Birthday and getting back to Blogging

Two very special kids had a birthday in our house back in October. Yes, These pictures are almost 2 months old, but sometimes one must bunker in and focus on the ones she lives with, so I have been gone for a while, but we are back again and I am kicking off being back with a birthday post. 

This year was the first year Isaac got to have a friend party. He was allowed to invite a limited amount of friends, we have normally done birthday parties with family only but this year, we did something different and it was really fun!

 

The birthday boy was so excited for his friends to come to his party. We had a scavenger hunt, we did a pinata, of course we had cake and ice cream. It was so fun to watch him play with his friends and be the birthday boy!

Caitlyn walked everywhere. She loved her brother's friend birthday party!

Isaac requested for Batman, Thomas, Lightening McQueen, Harold the helicopter and the Avengers to make an appearance on his birthday cake. Totally do able!

At school, Isaac got a very special hat to wear, made by his teacher Miss Barrett. Caitlyn came to deliver donuts for their morning snack, and he got to spend his birthday at school with all his friends. It was really fun to watch him celebrate at school. He is such a big boy!

The weekend after his actual birthday we had a joined birthday party because Caitlyn had turned one on the 17th! Mama and Caitlyn spent the day together, just hanging out, we snuggled and got lots of kisses in. All the family came over for the kids party. They opened presents, laughed, and were loved one.

Caitlyn loved the cake. She enjoyed the party and her big brother thought it was so cool to have a party with his sister. It was such a fun two weekends. One of my favorite moments this year!

The beset part about being behind on the blog is that I get to look through the pictures again. Two months ago my babies had a birthday. I am now the mama of a 5 year old young man and a 1 year old young woman. These two are amazing. I adore their laugh, I love to watch them play together, I enjoy my time with Caitlyn while Isaac is at school, I look forward to the school pick up, the dinner table conversations and the homework time with my son. I adore our family days, I have fallen in love with them, each one in their own way, no one more than the other, but it has been cool to be a mama to two in such different ways.

Sorry for the blog break, I am hoping to get back into posting, thanks for reading. To my Aunt Melanie, thank you for the email encouragement to get back to posting, I love you! 

10 Months

Precious girly is 10 months old!

She is crawling, she is eating real food, she eats what ever we eat, she still loves her bottle.

She has started to throw fits...

She is so cute, I couldn't help but grab the camera and snap a few pictures of her during her fit...

 Her little tears just get me every time. Her little cry is just precious.

She is the cutest little fit thrower there is. My precious little girl is just adorable even when she is told NO and she throws a fit!

First Day of School!

Well, my little man is in full time school. Yep - he is going to school from 8:30-3:00pm everyday of the week!

On the first day of school he had to have scrambled eggs, spiked hair and some juice!

He was SOOOO excited, it was the cutest thing. He could hardly sleep the night before. We packed his lunch before he went to bed, he got up early, he was excited to see his friends and mama was ready with the camera to capture it all!

Daddy took him to school and mama picked him up. Before he left with Daddy, he had enough time to scooter for a few minutes. 

I love that my son loves school. He is excited to go, he loves to learn, he loves to do homework at the table, he talks about every detail of his day and it is the sweet moments for me as his mama!

I hope to take more pictures as the school year goes on to capture some of his favorite things about school. But when I picked him up, all he could talk about was his locker, so of course we had to get a few pictures of that!

Yep... I have a TP baby!

I have always wanted to capture Isaac playing with the toilet paper when he was little, but he was never interested. Now, his sister... she LOVES the toilet paper.

I turned around for a few seconds to grab something and she had made a run for it, and was having a fabulous time with the TP when I walked into the bathroom!

Such a precious little thing, I could hardly be mad, she was just sitting there laughing, playing and having the best time in the world!

One of the no so good things about her passion to play with the TP, she likes to eat it... so I have to pull the little pieces from her lips often! But, it is a small price to pay for such a sweet moment!

She is perfectly passionate about playing with the TP, and I love her for it!

Meet Gus...

 

This is Gus.  Gus is Issac's friend.

 

Nana and Papa provided Isaac with some horse riding lessons this summer. He was not the biggest fan of horses, until he met Gus.

Isaac loved the horse riding lessons, he and Nana went on Wednesdays and it was the highlight of the week!

Mama went to fill in one night, and to be honest, it was a little intimidating.  I grew up around horses but never really learned much about them. I felt very out of place, but it was fun to watch Isaac take control of Gus, it was fun to watch him be confident, I loved the cowboy boots, the helmet, the cute little games they played...

My little man is growing up. It was such a fun thing to watch him learn how to be confident in a situation that left me, as his mama nervous.
