Flowers!!!

We have flowers at our house! My beloved mother in law planted the hanging baskets for me for mother's day and Isaac and I planted the little ones in the plant stand as a Mama and Isaac treat.

I love them, all of them.

Caitlyn... 7 months and moving!

She is getting so big! My little girl is crawling all over. She is standing up any chance she can. She loves to play with her brother and all his toys. He loves to play with her and thinks it is funny that she likes his cars more than any other toy.

What a fun thing it is to be a mama to two!

End of the School Year!

Yep, he is getting bigger. He is offically done with school for the year!

We have completed a successful year of pre-school. His teacher Miss. Tobi was wonderful. Issac has learned lots and is excited for school in the fall.

He has learned all sorts of things, he has learned colors and shapes, he can write his name, he can play with his friends, he can climb up the slides and climbing walls at the parks and he has learned to love school.

School has taught us how to do homework after dinner, how to read bed time stories before good night kisses and it has taught us how to learn together. It has been fun to watch him learn and to learn along side him. I am amazed at the things he has taught me!

Isaac's school had a celebration for the end of the year. Caitlyn and I went along and enjoyed every minute of it. The school had the celebration at a park so the kids and siblings could play, it was perfect!

Isaac's teacher handed out little hats to celebrate. They were just precious!

Dear Isaac, you are smart and you are such an amazing wonderful young man! You have done so well in school this year and I am so proud. I love you, over this last year I have watched you grow and learn. You have learned so much and you became a BIG BROTHER this year and man, you are the BEST big brother a little girl could ask for. I love you honey! I am so proud of you!  Love, Mama

Changes... Lots of Changes...

 

We have had some changes in our house!!!! Congrats to my husband of 8 years! The day before our anniversary, which was the 22nd of May, he got a VERY important and much anticipated letter! We have been praying for this letter to come for MONTHS! And Praise Jesus, it finally came. 

After testing, interviews and meet and greets with staff and management, my husband will start a new job on Monday June 4th!  He will be working for the City of Denver out at DIA. And I cannot wait! I have been praying for this for a while. He has been wanting this for even longer. And man, I am so proud of him! 

He will go from working nights, to working days. We will have some family time in the evenings and on the weekends, things are changing around here, there are lots of changes coming our way! 

Thank you JESUS!

A few tattoos for the boy...

Mama brought home some tattoo markers from work.

So, it was only appropriate that Isaac got a few fabulous colorful tattoos.

Clothes from Marci

Andrew's cousin Marci owns a fabulous little clothing shop for kids. She makes the most adorable stuff and Caitlyn is a proud owner of several new dresses!

Check out Marci's shop, her stuff is great. We have more dresses that will be worn very soon. I promise to post more pictures, I cannot get enough of her in her dresses!

6 months....

She is 6 months old now and not only is she scooting around, she is sitting up... all by herself!

A few months behind...

We are a few months behind in picture posting... This is all about 5 months!

At five months, which was last month, Caitlyn started to eat real baby food. She loved it! She gets so excited when she sees the jar, she could literally eat the entire thing!

The scooting has started. She is all over the floor. She goes and goes and goes.

She has learned to put her binkie in her mouth... sometimes she gets it backwards...

This is her classic scooting position... I think it is so precious...

After a few times practicing, she gets her binkie in her mouth the correct way...

Month five was busy, but fun! What a precious little girlie she is!

A yellow flower for his mama

 My son likes to pick me flowers. They are my favorite color, yellow, and they are from my favorite young man in the entire world. 

He came home from playing with our neighbor, just to give me a flower, this flower!

I love them, I love him. I feel loved by him.

Easter 2012

One of our family traditions when it comes to Christmas or Easter is to have what we call Holiday Rolls or as I refer to them, "Heaven on a plate"... They are of course, low fat, low in sugar and they have absolutely no carbs. :) However, since I normally made a double recipe, they do have 2 sticks of butter, 2 cups of brown sugar and 2 packets of cook and serve Butterscotch pudding, all melted together and poured over Rhodes Dinner Rolls. The rolls sit on the counter over night, uncovered to rise, and cook for a few minutes in the oven the next morning and it is FABULOUS! Again, it is a little bit of Heaven on a plate!



We went to church, we prepared the food for our afternoon lunch, we played outside and of course I took pictures!







Andrew made Prime Rib, we had salad, fruit and more of our morning delight, Heaven on a Plate. We had fresh margarita's, coffee, Root Beer Floats and when our "dinner time" was over, we snacked on what was left!



Isaac got to do a little egg hunt in the back yard. The eggs were cute little ducks and frogs filled with candy. I bought the cute eggs a few years back and he LOVES them!











Papa, Nana, Uncle Tim and Aunt Esther came over. Nana made Caitlyn's Easter outfit!



We played games together, on our phones and iPads of course :)



Isaac got the guns that go with his cow boy hat in his Easter basket.





He sure does make the cutest cowboy I have ever seen!





He got to dye a few eggs at school too and he made a little basket for them so when we dyed eggs on Saturday, we just added them to his basket, it was the center piece on the table!



Caitlyn, I tell ya, I loved dressing her for Easter. Like I mentioned, her Nana made her skirt and sweater. She looked absolutely adorable!



Her brother got his traditional new shirt to wear with shorts and they looked just precious. Isaac asked me to spike his hair with gel before we went to church because his shirt had a guitar on it and he wanted to look like a rocker. It was fabulously adorable!



As the day went on, we played outside. We hung out as a family. We laughed, we celebrated Jesus' resurrection in true party form!

There were bubbles and new back yard toys, such as a Spiderman Frisbee.



Caitlyn hung out in the swing. Her brother loves to push her and she loves to swing - it is a match made in heaven!
