Yep... I have a TP baby!

I have always wanted to capture Isaac playing with the toilet paper when he was little, but he was never interested. Now, his sister... she LOVES the toilet paper.

I turned around for a few seconds to grab something and she had made a run for it, and was having a fabulous time with the TP when I walked into the bathroom!

Such a precious little thing, I could hardly be mad, she was just sitting there laughing, playing and having the best time in the world!

One of the no so good things about her passion to play with the TP, she likes to eat it... so I have to pull the little pieces from her lips often! But, it is a small price to pay for such a sweet moment!

She is perfectly passionate about playing with the TP, and I love her for it!

Meet Gus...

This is Gus.  Gus is Issac's friend.

Nana and Papa provided Isaac with some horse riding lessons this summer. He was not the biggest fan of horses, until he met Gus.

Isaac loved the horse riding lessons, he and Nana went on Wednesdays and it was the highlight of the week!

Mama went to fill in one night, and to be honest, it was a little intimidating.  I grew up around horses but never really learned much about them. I felt very out of place, but it was fun to watch Isaac take control of Gus, it was fun to watch him be confident, I loved the cowboy boots, the helmet, the cute little games they played...

My little man is growing up. It was such a fun thing to watch him learn how to be confident in a situation that left me, as his mama nervous.

Thank you Papa and Nana for such fun summer memories with Gus!

While Daddy and Mama are away the kids will play!

Isaac has discovered the joy of the slip and slide!

The very biggest blessing about the house we are living in right now is the beautiful back yard the kids get to play in.

There have been severl days now that Miss Cathryn has set up the slip and slide and the kids have spent hours outside.

I cannot get enough of this sweet boy in hiw swim suit and his goggles! I think there is nothing cuter!

Caitlyn loves to be in the water, she has a little frog pool (pictures to come shortly) that she could spend all day in if we let her! I cannot wait until she is up and walking and running after her brother. There is nothing more precious than her cute little self in her swim suit, and sun hat splashing around in the water!

A Week at VBS

Isaac got to go to VBS for the first time this year and I don't know who was more excited, Mama or him!
He was in a class with his very dear friend and his teacher was Miss Cathryn. Miss Cathryn hangs out with the kids on the days mama has to go to work.

Isaac went to the church every morning, Monday - Friday for 4 hours. He got to learn all about Jesus!

He learned the most fabulous gons, he still sings them almost every day! He learned to trust God.
It made me such a proud mama to watch him participate in his class. I love watching him learn about the one I love most. I am looking forward to the next few years of VBS as a regular summer activity!

Road Trip, Just the 3 of us...

I am a little behind in blogging, two kids keep me busy. In June,Andrew started a new job. Praise the Lord! We have been praying for him to have a new job for a while.

So, one weekend in June the kids and I packed up and headed out for our first road trip. Andrew had to work, so it was just the kids and I, Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts, Uncle and Isaac's cousin Mercedes.

The drive was fun. The kids and I had fun in the van, Mercedes even hung out with us. When we got to South Dakota, we stopped for dinner at Pizza Hut. The drive was one of my favorite parts of the trip.

We stayed at a camp ground, in cabins. The kids loved every minute of it.  We swam in the pool, we cooked by the fire, we had smores.

We took the kids to see Mt. Rushmoore and Isaac LOVED it. He still talks about it.

One of the best memories of the trip  was when Isaac completed the Jr. Ranger program. He had to answer all these questions about Mt. Rushmoore and the animals around the park.

It was only fitting that he got a ranger hat to celebrate. And he LOVES it! I happen to think it is the cutest thing ever!

Isaac played in the dirt, what little boy won't love to shovel dirt?

CAitlyn discovered lots of new foods, powered sugar donuts, scones, and her favorite teething toy while we were gone was a chicken bone.

We took Isaac to Bear Country, a favorite! He loved driving around and looking at all the bears. It was so fun to watch him see everything!

Ice cream was a regular part of the trip. It is tradition really, this little boy loves ice cream!

It was a fun trip! It was a good weekend and I got to soak up all the mama time a  mama could ever want. It was a fun for me. I missed Andrew, I missed sitting with him by the fire and snuggling in our sleeping bag. I missed the way we hang out and relax together, I missed my man. It was good to be home, it was a good trip.
