... we saw THOMAS!

THOMAS! THOMAS! THOMAS!

We went out to spend the day with THOMAS! THE Thomas, the Number 1 engine THOMAS! We had made plans for a few weeks ahead and Isaac was sooo excited to go see Thomas!

The bus ride from the parking lot was precious. He kept looking out the window to see if he could find Thomas!

"THOMAS!"

We spent the day hanging out at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO. We ate lunch, we saw trains, trains and more trains...

... Isaac ran around, just like any two year old boy would... and....

Fire House

Our local Fire Station had an open house and Isaac and I went to see what it was all about!

Isaac got to meet some firemen, which he LOVE. He got to spray the BIG water hose.

He got to run around and see everything and anything about the fire station!

We got to see how BIG the fire truck is, the tire was taller than Isaac! We even got free lunch. It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Trains with Grandma Postma

Grandma Postma and Aunti Kay came to visit this summer and Isaac LOVED to play trains with Grandma...

... Grandma Postma has made my son a blanket that he adores... he sleeps with it every night, unless it is in the washer...

... Grandma Postma is a woman who LOVES Jesus... she is a woman of prayer and I love her...

... so as I sat back and took pictures of them playing together, I could help my shed a few tears, happy tears, but still tears...

... I adore them, I love them and I cherish them!

Camping with Papa and Nana

We went to Lake McConaughy in Nebraska a few weeks ago and enjoyed a weekend of camping with Papa and Nana. We took a lot of stuff, but we also packed Isaac's truck of course. The young man had to have his toy...

... he was so cute, he ate snacks in his truck and had "alone time" in there as well.

It was a fun trip. We went camping several times this summer and it is something we have fallen in love with. We hope Papa and Nana will join us again soon!

More pictures will be posted tomorrow... LOTS MORE!

Show us where you live... Friday's

A blog friend of mine is doing a tour of home blog every Friday, and today is the day we show you where we live, and the room is the Living room! I love Kelly's blog and I adore this time of year... I love touring homes from my home!
Our living room is comfortable, it is the place we live as a family. It is the place we watch movies, play trains, and just enjoy life together...

... the room isn't very big, but it is big enough for us to enjoy each other, I adore pictures, so there are photos of our friends, family and places we love surrounding our room...

... we are a TV watching family, I love to watch the news, I adore the TV shows my hubby and I watch after our son goes to bed, I just love the relaxation and simplicity of our TV time as a family...

... our living room also happens to be the place we work out... with the TV...

... I love listening to the laughter that comes from this room, I cherish the memories we have created and I adore the simple yet comfortable place we call home.

Thanks for stopping by - Leave a comment so I can come visit your home!

In love... the French Manicure is BACK!

I have been addicted to artificial nails for a LONG time... well, I have recently taken to doing my own nails at home and I have found the BEST product!

I know "press on" nails are totally something girls do in elementary school, but I promise they look great - this is the product I used...

Kiss Every Day French Nail Kit

And to top it off, the entire box was only $5.00 at Target - which basically means I can get a new box and have a fresh set, placed on my nails once a week, each month, for less than one salon appointment costs. I tell ya, it is fabulous!

Focus

Psalm 25:15: My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.

Luke 11:34: Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness.

2 Corinthians 4:18: So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Hebrews 12:2: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Just Give Me Jesus...

Good bye world ... HELLO JESUS... just a few days without technology, a bathroom, TV, Phone, or many people...

In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise

Give me Jesus.
Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus.
You can have all this world,
Just give me Jesus.

When I am alone,
When I am alone,
When I am alone,
Give me Jesus.

Give me Jesus.
Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus.
You can have all this world,
Just give me Jesus.

....

Give me Jesus.
Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus.
You can have all this world,
You can have all this world,
You can have all this world,
Just give me Jesus.

the WORD...

I have a strong addiction to the WORD... I mean a HUGE addition... I love the Bible, the WORD, HIS WORD... I have one in several sizes... I carry it in my purse, I sleep with it when Andrew is at work, I have one in my car, my son is allowed to color in my BIG Bible and has his very own WORD to color in...

Words from the WORD hang on the walls of my home, note cards and sticky notes decorate the door ways. I seriously cannot get enough... PRAISE JESUS for HIS WORD!

Such a lovely book it is. So precious to me...

Dear Mama... my MAMA!

I was listening to the radio this morning and heard Carrie Underwood's new song, Mama's Song... it brought tears to my eyes... Here are my thoughts on her words...

Mama you taught me to do the right things
So now you have to let your baby fly
You've given me everything that I will need
To make it through this crazy thing called life
And I know you watch me grow up and always want what’s best for me
And I think I found the answer to your prayers

Mama - I am in a place in life that is different than anything I have ever experienced before. and I have found that this place in life is the place the LORD wants me to be, therefore, it's good, HE is good...

And he is good, so good
He treats your little girl like a real man should
He is good, so good, he makes promises he keeps
No he's never gonna leave
So don’t you worry about me
Don’t you worry about me

And in the midst of this time in my life, there is NO WAY I could do it without you. Your mama advice, your support with the calling the Lord has placed on my heart... I need it...

Mama there’s no way you'll ever lose me
And giving me away is not goodbye
As you watch me walk down to my future, I hope tears of joy are in your eyes

Cuz he is good, so good
He treats your little girl like a real man should
He is good, so good, he makes promises he keeps
No he's never gonna leave
So don’t you worry about me
Don’t you worry about me

The man, the LORD has given me, is good... He is soooo good! He takes care of me, he talks to me, he listens to me, he provides for me and he lovesssssssssss me. Man does he love me well. We have been given a son and my prayer for his wife is that he will be sooo good for her and that HE will be soooooo good to them, just has HE has been to us.

And when I watch my baby grow up,
I'll only want what's best for her.
And I hope she'll find,
the answer to my prayers.
And that she'll say...

He is good, so good
He treats your little girl like a real man should
He is good, so good, he makes promises he keeps
No he's never gonna leave
So don’t you worry about me
Don’t you worry about me

Mama don’t you worry about me – the sleepless nights, the stressful conversations with Jesus, the endless writing and re-writing and the tears, the joy and the life HE has given me, the husband HE has given me and the son HE has given us, are good. So… GOOD!

Just in case you were wondering…
